A few years ago, I had a diary. Nothing out of the ordinary, but this was a tape- a tape that not only existed as a window into my thoughts, but as a brief snapshot of who I really was. It not only showed me physically, but also exposed my thought process, my vulnerability, and my arrogance. This tape is meant to do the same thing, in hopes that one day, I shall look back at my old self, and see what mistakes remained unseen by me. My Bio

I am a freshman at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore. My double major is general fine arts and art education, my minor is creative writing. I also independently study psychology.
My biggest fascinations are with the boundaries of reality as we understand it (or don't), emotion, addiction, political activism, and environmentalism. I also have a strong affinity for degenerate art, outsider art, graffiti, and lowbrow art (especially since prior to college, I had no "training" whatsoever artistically").
In the future, I would like to work as a teacher, or art therapist, be a part time tattoo artist, and be paid for my artwork on the west coast (where I grew up) either in San Francisco, LA, or Seattle (great expectations much? haha)

so i have decided to turn over a new leaf, and attempt to leave this past behind me... sort of. a new situation deserves a new website. seeing as i am now done with the majority of my foundation year classes, i will be starting my major, meaning i can start to focus on my artwork more seriously (more???) and push it in the creative directions that i choose to go. i will leave this site up until jan 1, 2009, at which point anything i have said, or done on this site will be removed permanently. thanks for all the support along the way, and please feel free to find me on my new site, on myspace. maybe one day in the future, i'll make another on

a very angry, and slightly tipsy, rant

one thing i can't stand about people that don't go to an art school is that they think that because i go to art school, i couldn't get into a "regular" college, or "have it easy". i've got a little something to say about that. first of all, going to an art school doesn't make me more, or less intelligent and insightful than someone that attends a university. all it means is that one of the things in excell in is creating artwork, mostly drawing, and have a strong desire to pursue it for the rest of my life. and going to one of "the top" art schools, MICA, will only confirm by outside opinion that there's something there for me to start from.

i do! i'm slowly trying to wean myself off deviant art, but at this point it seems pretty impossible. hah. but yeah, i have some sculpture stuff to put up, and a couple drawings. the most up to date place for my artwork is my facebook though
